Description
Hempex is a spun polypropylene rope, 3-strand twisted, lightweight, soft in the hands and floating. Due to its classic appearance, it is indistinguishable from real hemp-flax. This original Hempex® has good UV resistance and a higher breaking strength than other alternatives on the market.
This original Hempex® is indispensable on many botters, flat-bottomed boats and other classic ships, where it is used as a sheet and halyard line. In addition, it is often used in mills as a neck rope, lyre rope or body rope. Due to its lifelike appearance, Hempex® is also often used in decorative applications as a synthetic alternative to hemp-flax rope.
Hempex has the color of the original hemp, which is light brown / beige in color. Compared to the original hemp, it has a higher breaking strength and a much longer lifespan.
